How To Get Hired: Speak With Influence
Time & Location
About the Event
Our next workshop is on public speaking in the context of searching for employment!
While public speaking is probably the most dreaded form of communication, it is also perhaps the most valuable as it allows us to form connections, influence decisions, and motivate change.
The session in June will build your confidence to tell your story and communicate with influence during a job interview or networking event. It will be facilitated by two professional speakers, Gareth Benson and Winitha Bonney.
Gareth Benson is a lawyer, lecturer and international professional speaker with demonstrated education and industry experience. He is a speaker and facilitator in law, entrepreneurship and digital media. Gareth is a former Business Associate for SBS Television and Governance Advisor of the Australian Centre of the Moving Image. Gareth was awarded winner of the Trinity College Presidents Medal for Oratory University of Melbourne and former Toast Master District Champion 2012.
Winitha Bonney is a thought leader in the future of work and the advancement of women of colour. She is also the founder of Amina of Zaria, a digital media company for women of colour and has founded several other start-ups. She has over 21 years of experience and brings together over 17 years of experience and research in the future of work and the advancement of women of colour in leadership and entrepreneurship to create change and transformation for individuals and organisations.
